      电影插曲有别于电影配乐。从音乐类型上来看，电影配乐多为无词的纯音乐，为配合电影场景而存在；插曲则往往是一首歌或者一首舞曲，形式相对独立。从作用上来说，电影配乐是应景抒情的基础，而插曲则更甚一步，在与画面情节相结合的同时，更有对歌曲、音乐本身的致敬意味。

原曲简介：《God Only Knows》是美国60年代迷幻摇滚乐队The Beach Boys在1966发行的专辑【Pet Sounds】中的一首曲目，被视为摇滚史上最为精良的专辑之一。有趣的是，当年这张专辑在美国本土并未获得太多好评，反倒是在英国取得了第二名的好成绩，The Beach Boys更是在NME(The New Musical Express)杂志评选的“年度最佳团体”中力压披头士勇夺桂冠，这也难怪《真爱至上》这部纯粹的英国影片会选取这样一首经典作为插曲了。

14、《The End Of The World》

出现电影：《海盗电台》《美国情事》

《真爱至上》导演Richard Curtis另一部代表作《海盗电台》是一部有关音乐的电影，汇集了众多60年代流行乐的经典曲目，这首《The End Of The World》是全剧情节的转折点标志。海盗电台被官方取缔后广播了这“最后一曲”，充满着柔情与伤感。而在美国影片《美国情事》中，片末当男主角拼整了油画之际响起了这首插曲，怀旧的情调不禁让人潸然泪下。
