13、《A Whiter Shade of Pale》

出现电影：《海盗电台》《玻璃之城》

《海盗电台》里另外一首印象深刻的插曲就是《A Whiter Shade of Pale》，出现在“海盗船”触礁下沉之前。悠扬而激荡的旋律完全覆盖了船上的慌乱，犹余摇滚电台往昔盛况的回味与现实窘况的怅惘。而在《海盗电台》之前，香港电影《玻璃之城》就已经小试牛刀一把。在这首插曲的渲染下，男女主角牵手翩翩起舞，怀旧之情甚浓。

原曲简介：《A Whiter Shade of Pale》是英国前卫摇滚团体Procol Harum在1967年发行的同名专辑中的主打歌。“《A Whiter Shade of Pale》开头如神启、空灵般的管风琴旋律（据称是借鉴了巴赫“G弦上的咏叹调”之样式）是最令人永难忘怀的，三十多年来有关它的传说不断，同时也是后代试图探讨或诠释六十年代精神的最佳曲目。”虽然Procol Harum在60年代摇滚鼎盛时期只能算是一个影响力有限的小团体，但是这首代表作可以说是影响了一代又一代歌者。后人比较著名的翻唱是莎拉·布莱曼（Sarah Brighman）的拔尖高音版。
